We put our Christmas tree up yesterday. That's a record in our house--usually we win the prize
for putting it up last and leaving it up the longest. We do celebrate the 68 days of Christmas around here! I'm not trimming it yet--going to give the Buster some time to get accustomed before I tempt him with dangling things.
I t was a fun time at First Tuesday last week. We had a new person who is weaving wonderful things out of telephone wire...very colorful and wild. Another of us was working on Christmas ornaments and I was finishing up a top-secret project that I'll share after the recipient receives and opens it. About the Art Parties in the studio--yes they will happen as usual on the Friday before Christmas (Dec. 21) and New Year's Day (Jan. 1--like you needed to be told!) I myself expect to be wrapping gifts and making tags on Friday, and you're welcome to do the same; there are a couple of card tables I can set up if we need more space. As for First Tuesday, I can't think of anywhere I'd rather begin the New Year than in the studio, so I will be there for sure. Maybe we can start earlier...I'll think about it and post here.

This week brings the 3rd Friday in February, and as there are no birthdays, jury duties, blizzards (I guess) or other emergencies Room206 will be open!

About the Art Parties...
Art Parties are no longer held in my studio, but they were fun while they lasted! Thanks to everyone who came and played and shared and supported my efforts. in the Shoreline Historical Museum on the First Tuesday and Third Friday of each month. It's a drop-in art playtime for grown-ups! There's usually an organized project for the evening, but if you'd rather bring your own work and just enjoy the company, that's fine too. Come any time after 6 pm, stay as long as you like; we usually go on until at least midnight. Come in the back door (by the ramp) and up to the top floor, Room 206.

Why Room 206?
Well, my studio is located in what used to be the sixth grade classroom of what used to be the Ronald Elementary School. The Ronald School opened in 1906, and closed in the 70's, after which the building became the Shoreline Historical Museum. The museum has two rooms which it rents out, and I am very lucky to occupy one of them, Room 206. The teacher's name is still on the blackboard!

I always have a wonderful time in your studio and have enjoyed meeting the nice people who have joined in the fun. I learn so many new things whenever I watch you work on your things.
Buster is quite the handsome fellow. This is the first time I've seen him. My cats have never bothered the Christmas trees. With the exception of Crespo. He did like to bat at a couple of ornaments from time to time, but mostly, he loved to sleep under it.
I love the layout of this new blog, and the red border around the photos looks very nice too.
68 days? LOL!
I like the new layout. It looks fresher. Perhaps now that many websites have gone to the light and bright look, your more saturated and contrasty ambience will come into vogue.
