My new favorite webtoy...

Wallovers, at the National Gallery of Art website, lets you draw tiles in a bunch of different layouts...and they all draw at once. Does that make sense? I guess you should just go take a look. But don't go unless you have some time. You can't not get hooked. My only (small) kvetch is that you have to take a screen shot to save your design. But it's not such a big problem, really.

Oh boy, that site is a lot of fun! I only wish there were more options with colors.

Thanks for the link.

If you want to save a vector version of your work, there is a trick that works with Shockwave sites, like this one. If you Right-click on the page (for some reason this one needs to be the page but NOT the drawing), you get a drop down menu to save PDF as Postscript. This file you can open in Illustrator. You have to then do a live trace on it, Expand it, Ungroup many times, and edit a lot. But it does give you a scalable version if you want.
